Just wanted to drop a line and say howdy! I am currently working on a 49 Ford 2dr Sedan. The car has the original flathead 6, which was hard to find anyhting for. So, I purchased a 1950 rebuilt flathead 8 from the shoebox guru(Ray Marler) and waiting to drop her in. Has anyone here had any experiance with ez wiring and 12 volt conversion?
As far as the personal stuff, I am a Firefighter just outside Dallas with a Wife, one kiddo, and a dog. Anyway, I should be pulling the motor sometime next week with a couple of guys from the station (which can always be paid with beer)(crossing my fingers). Good Luck and look forward to future posts on the HAMB. [ QUOTE ]

Hey , another "Buckethead"...welcome.There are a few of us on the board from all over the place. I'm with local 913 in Kamloops British Columbia Canada.
I actually competed against some firefighters from Rowlett in the firefighter combat challenge in Tampa in 96.As I remember they were some big boys.
There's lots of shoebox guys here, so you should get lots of help.
Anyway, again welcome...Jethro

Welcome. Sounds like a good project you have going on.
I have experience with EZ wire kits as I recently wired and converted my 46 flatty from 6v to 12v. How can I put this nicely? ummm, I guess I can't. EZ wire kits are, well, ummm...lets just say I will never use another one.
I also have a list of all the components I used to domplete the wiring. All new switches, sockets, etc. If you need some help or additional info feel free to send me a PM.
