Alright.....My Proper Intro

Me: My name is Jose I acctually live in Mesquite, TX (Dallas area) with my girlfriend Jamie. I work as a Recaords Manager for a major Resturant company by day and spend most of my nights at Killer Ridez (the shop) in Seagoville. Check out the site Killer Ridez (http://www.killerridez.com) , its a friends shop, but that where we hang and work on the rides.

The Ride: What I currently drive is a '78 El Camino that I have had since I was 12. It has come a long way and I have put alot of time and money in to it. It is Moon Light Blue with Bright White SS style Stripes. Rolling stock is 18x8 and 18x9.5 American Billet wheels. The truck also has a complete custom air ride system with 1/2" valves, line and fittings, Firestone bags and currently runs off of Nitrogen. The motor is a 60 over 350, double hump heads, 2.02/1.60 valves, 280H comp cam, JE Pistons, 1.6 Billet roller rockers, edelbrock intake, holley 650 dbl pump...around 400HP to the rear. Interior is Black leather buckets, custom console, Autometer gaguges and a Hurst Shifter. http://www.killerridez.com/images/Elcamino14.JPG
*I had a 56 Buick Century 4 door that was going to be the inital project but had to let it go. So I am on the look out for a new project, so if any local guys know of a good start let me know.

Background: I have been in to custom and classic cars and trucks for about 10 years in one way or another. I have been way in the back checking out the rodder scene for some time now and have finally stepped to the front to take a better look. I am very interested in everything that is intailed, the lifestyle, the cars, the friends and family like atmosphere.

H.A.M.B: I will have to thank Hami from the Chupacabras here in Dallas for introducing me to the board, I have to say that it is one of the best ones I have been on anywhere. I hope to meet alot of new people and get to hang with the locals.

Lomino,
welcome to the riff-raff.
Even though your ride isn't a trad rod or custom, i like it. I have alway's liked the 'G' body ride's.
I had a '78 elky, a '79 mali and a '81 mali.
for the initial cost, they are a lot of fun..........
however, i DO hope ya get into the rod's and custom's..
The satisfaction and enjoyment are like nothin else man...

Rat...

I have a huge soft spot for El Caminos. Sucks they got such a trailer park, white trash reputation...bah! I love em!! My first car (truck) was a '64...white, with eventually red flames. I drove around in Mesquite a lot when I had it, maybe you saw? Welcome to the HAMB!
