Aloha,
My name is Eric and I live in Portland, OR and I am yearning to build a rat rod, 30 roadster Ford. I have got a lot to learn though. I have never built up an old car before. For that matter I never work on my own cars. I fucking hate them. They are just what I use to get to work and the store. But a classic with a ton of attitude that is something else.
I am not totally mechanically illiterate. I race and ride road motorcycles. I can work on my bikes for days without realizing I haven't eaten or left the garage for hours.
I race vintage, early 60's, Honda CBs. PArts are hard to find and they need a lot of work.
So I have the desire to work on somehting that is worth it.
Anyway.............
Long story short. Can someone point me in the direction of any good books, past postings, emails, threads that I can read that get me going to build a rat rod raodster? Anyone with a parts lists of what is necessary to at least get a rolling frame that steers and brakes? So I can starrt hunting.
Thanks alot I looking forward to hearing from someone.
