How to re-use used rubbers...Tech post

Dont throw away that bald ass 4 ply "non-radial" tire.
Use a hole saw and cut body mount rubber washers out of em.
The center bolt hole is already there when you cut em too!

also..im using the bottom part of a road construction thingy.. { not a cone, but a big rubber pad that holds up a larger square "cone"} for my motor mounts. Just cutting out a peice with the hole saw as above.

thats a good idea! How thick are they? Are you using the tread or the sidewall?

semis have a rubber strap belting (from 2" to 5" wide and as long as you want if you get a new roll) that goes between the fuel tanks and the metal bands that hold them on (to keep the bands from scratching and wearing through the tanks) and ive used that as body mounts.

Don't forget the inner tube while you're at it. It makes great anti-squeek material and lots of other uses. I use it for through the floor pedal seals.
