Just in time for Christmas,
Free to a HAMBer,
I have a 1923 Star flathead 4 cylinder motor that is complete except the carb and the distributor. It came of a buzz rig that sat across town for at least 40 years. The owner turned the motor over every year and it turned free when I got it. I tore it down and it is in surprising shape. Most of the parts are boxed or in containers. The crank and rod bearings are both babbitt and had all the shims still in. I believe three shims for the crank and five shims for the rods. Or vice versa. Anyway, I will never get to it and am cleaning the shop. Needs to go. And if you come for it, remind me to get the brass tag for it that I stuck in my tool chest. It was made for Star motor company by Continental and some parts interchange I believe. It is free. First come first served. If you claim it here first, and make a honest effort to come and get it in a reasonable time frame, I will hold it for you for a couple days, then the next guy or gal. The sooner the better. I have attached 2 pictures from the Internet of what this motor looks like. This is not a picture on my motor, just what it looks like, etc.... Free
Thanks for looking,
