View Full Version : Cool Track Roadster
I am sitting at work(on Sunday) sending off some pics to a stray HAMBer or two. I spottedd this pic my boss took at Bonneville this last year. Neat little Track Roadster. Just thought I would share it with you.

I really like that top but I'm wondering how you'd get in and out of it.

Oh I think it's a steel body with working doors but still the question. How do you get your body in there? I really like that top. Maybe the top folds back then once you're in you fold it up over yourself.
I will try to post a pic of the top from work tomorrow. I have a good shot of the interior. The top is REALLY neat in how it folds.

I saw that and desperatly tried to get some usable shots to frame in my 'blue room.' Never got a clean shot. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Really nice and clean. Too small for my big ass, though!

I was talking to the owner of that car at B'Ville. It is a
Speedway body on a custom chassis.
I am a little guy and it was a squeze for me to get into
it. The tunnel is almost like an armrest, and your feet
touch at the toes in the footwell. I also got the requisite
burn on the calf from the exhaust when I was gettin out.
The owner has a chassis shop that does drag race stuff in
Tn, or Ar. or somewhere in the south.
I took several shots of the car, but all are print film.
I want one just like it.

I really want to see the inside shots of the top and the folding bits....ummm, not that I'd ever put a top on my car or anything.

Seems like it would be a perfect lightweight low drag package in which to house a hot A or B flatmotor four. With Mild Mitch's mill it'd probably crack a hundred MPH.
We were staying at the same motel at b ville. Watched him get in and out a couple of times, it wasn't some thing you would want to use if you are robbing banks http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Neat car it reminded me of Frank Mack's T.
Weird , dont know how the red x popped up

Thanks for the top pictures. Again, I really like the top but, just like alot of contemporary track Ts I've seen, I don't care much for the car. Give me a traditional track T anytime. I love 'um.
BTTT for Grimlok.
I really like this little car. I guess the only thing I might change is the nose, a little to long for my taste. The two tone blue is a bold move!

Here is one using what I believe is the same Speedway Track T body. Sorry for quality of picture, not sure how to reduce size and keep quality
