Well boys and girls I traded my '51 Buick Special for a '62 Bullet Bird. I think I got a good deal, even trade. Here are some pics to confirm.

Killer cool car, I loves it.
Please resist the urge to mercilessly butcher this one up like you did the Buick.
You will be kicked in your good nut if you act your age again.

What Nads said. Clean it up, get it running good and drive it. After that do one thing at a time but keep it the road. We can help.

Cool!
I'd like one of those in my stable if I had a stable...
I think the dash pads are repoped and that seam in the seat you can sew up in ten minutes with a curved "sail makers needle".

Good deal!!!

SBT, Thats a cool car. Dose it run & drive? Those 390s are a good engine. Just clean that bitch up & drive it. Mechanically, fix only what NEEDS fixing, and if you're not sure about something, ASK BEFORE you fix it not after. I'd hate to see an instant replay of the Buick episode. Goodluck with the car,

Billy

Justin: I really dig it. Give us more info (running/driving?). Glad to hear everything worked out for you. Listen to Nads and Nate. They speak the truth.

Congrats Justin.

Looks like you did good.

Runs & drives? Original motor & tranny? What's the deal?

Here is the deal folks,
The car will start but that carb leaks bad. Master cylinder needs replacing and other than that a little tune up and shine up and this baby should be rolling.
I learned big time the hard way with the Buick, rest assured that will not happen again. This car will be done right, mark my words. If I dont know how to do it or I am the slightest bit foggy I will wait the month save the money and have it done by proffesionals.
Other than all that I am super excited and think I am getting a chance at "starting with a clean slate" which is very refreshing knowing what I know now.

Looks like it would look really good scrubbed and buffed. Good trade

Good move. They're a nice looking car as-is. You don't need to do much to customize 'em.

I like it, if you put some money into it and sold it as a restored car I think you would make a fair bit on the side, but thats just my opinion.
