Hi...just wanted to quickly introduce myself. My name is Pat Monaco. I'm originally from Farrell, PA, (between Pittsburgh and Erie) but I've been living in Rochester, NY since 1973. We consider this our home. I've been monitoring the message board for a few months and finally decided to register.
My wife Joanne and I are new to "street roddin'". Actually I met her at a local drag strip in Mercer, PA (Sunset Drag Strip) when I used to drag my 1969 Z-28 a long time ago. I bought that "new" in 1969 for $4100.00. Boy, like most of us here on the board, I wish I would have kept it! Unfortunately, because my insurance was so high ($1200 year), I sold it and the second owner totalled it in a DWI.
We purchased our first "street rod" in December 2005. It's a 1930 Model A Roadster Conv. by Brookville. Its a beauty. Having gotten started late in life, we're having a ball driving it as much as we can. Thanks for allowing me to join this great group of "rodders"!
