ok old guys, If you had a late 41 car (in 1941) would it have 41 plates on it? maybe 1942 trying to make the car as spot on as I can because of the war I seen 1945 before plates too?? I need a pair too thanks
I tryed to look on Rik's site but couldnt see the year on the plates clearly, most had the metal tags over the year maybe 41 used 40 plates??
Rikster strikes again......yeah I spent a lot of time a long time ago trying to find a 1946 CA license plate....till I found out they never made them!....and if you own a '46 Ford (Coop) and (I have one For Sale) you only need to display the one plate ('45) because they didn't make two..... !
I envy you folks in CA in that you can get nice frames for your YOM plates ... even lots of repops for them. My gorgeous 49 waffled aluminum AZ plate is bolted up bare cause original frames are so tough to find if you want something other that simple tubing.
