Im trying to find out if the Dana 44 brake set-up on the rear of the 54' F100 was the same as the the Ford nine inch drum set-up from 57-72???

Ive read several articles 'saying' that this is a very easy swap, but rarely are brake internals discussed. I'm more concerned with preserving the emergency brake set up, and have heard from a friend that emer levers will just transfer...but am unsure.

All the emergency cable connections inside the drum that I have seen from 39 to almost new have been the same. A lump of swaged metal on the end of the cable slips into a hook on an arm.

I swapped in the 9" and the emergency brake cable hooked right up to it, no modifications at all, really easy swap.
