40 windsheild ever do one?

Im puting all new ford script glass in my boss's 40 deluxe four door. All is going well exept the w/s. Im assuming from the way the rubber is shaped it installs from the inside but it will not clear the header above the windsheild. it looks like it would clear if I pull down the headliner and take out the tack strip. pretty sure that your doing it correctly.. I dont have a headliner in my 40 so windshield install was not a problem and since I am a tightwad and I didnt want to pay for the rubber gasket I had my new glass cut oversize and installed late model style. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Put a new "Ford script" w/s in a 51 Lincoln a while back, seemed too tight. Checked it against a stock pattern, it was cut a little big. So what I had was a repop W/S and a repop seal=too big. Sanded the glass down some and it worked OK......OLDBEET
