4 door HT to 2 door HT

How hard would it be to convert a 4 door hard top to a 2 door hard top? You could weld up the rear door, but what about using the doors from a 2 door and moving the center support column back x inches and welding on new skin? For sake of argument I found a nice 61 Dodge Phoenix 4 door, but teh 4 door kinda sucks. I know at least one person on here converted a 4 door HT. I think it was a 60 Buick.

Hellfish,threedeuce56 took his 56 pontiac 4 door post and made it into a 2 door hard top.He'd give you the low down.I think his car looks kill with the roof line being a 4 door.Yuors would look pretty kill too i would think.......Shiny

choprods brother (scarliner?) converted a 60 Ford from a 4dr to a 2dr. Looks f'n cool in person, he did a great job.

Have wondered what a 4dr flattop would look like in 2dr mode, but all the photoshops I've done make em look odd.
