PRICE DROP: $4000.
This is a dream car for the restoration enthusiast that I aquired through an estate sale! The Chieftain is a complete car that has been approximately 60% restored (which is why I say "light" project) and is 99% original down to the hemp twine, cloth wire covers and leather engine gaskets. The '52 Delux featured an in-line 8cylindar engine with the Hydromatic automatic transmission on the column. The car will turn over and run, but must be bottle fed. If you don't know what that means, you don't need this car. This is a quality car in need of quality restoration. All chrome is present and it even has the highly sought after roof visor!!! This piece alone is a treasure in itself. I have the original owners manuals that came with this car and also the original bill of sale from the dealership in New Jersey where it was sold.
Body is straight and exterior is in excellent shape with one dent in rear quarter panel. Interior floor pans need patchwork and all upholstry needs to be redone. The odomoter reads 47,153 which I believe to be accurate based on the car's condition and engine quality. This project has the potential to be an immaculate restoration. Clear title in hand. I will consider all reasonable trades and offers, but cash is king. Contact me at (850) 612-4542 to see the car, ask questions, or e-mail me back for more info/pictures.
