It was all rusted up when i started building it. Im tired of having cars that i can't use. When it starts to rust i'll fix it. If i get tired of fixing it I might move to some place it dont snow.

100mphwheelspinner, "Real Hot Rods are Driven", glad to see you're enjoying your rod all year long. I've had a rod running continuously for 13 years now and have driven them at leaste once per month in every month in all conditions. Christmas eve, 1999 my girlfriend and I went out in my 32 roadster and delivered wine to our friends. It was 22°, windy and snow covered(no hood, no top, no fenders). We covered up with a blanket. I evently sold the roadster but married the girl. Enjoy. Sam

Used to drive the Model A roadster year round. Only put the top up when it was snowing. When I sold that one, I bought the Chevelle. It's got newfangled shit like a heater, roll up windows and windshield wipers. Nothing like overpowered rear wheel drive with a shift kit on the wet ice to keep you awake on the road to work. Can't put the top down on this one tho. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

mo junk thats what im talking about. the memories are great. I feel sorry for the people that have all these beautiful cars and never drive them. they are missing out on the best part....I have a garage queen also, a 68 camaro with a 540 big block. I guess there is a place for these cars. But I could build 3 coupes for what i have in my camaro. If I had to sell one it would't be the coupe...

I just finished a heater in my A so I can keep driving it.

I wish we had snow here in TX so I could see how she handles it.

Hey flt-blk don't wish some snow on us! It's 70 degrees today here in Maud,Tx. Me and the old lady went on a beer run yesterday in my flatty powered '34 coupe. The high was 55, we nearly needed a heater. The temp gage never left the "C".

It's not the snow that stops me from driving mine. It's the lack of traction on the hills and mountains we have around here. If I was a flatlander,I'd still be driving mine!! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Cruzer, I guess it has been about braggin rights. I drove my roadster once when the snow was about 6" deep. The dropped axle was blading the snow and the resistance was causing a loss of traction in the rear. Also, running a big and little tire combination on such a light car is really scary when you attempt to stop. The front wheels lock up and slide and you can't steer. As I look back it probably wasn't very smart. One year I got up on New Year's Day. Temps were in the teens. I put on a hot Rod Tee shirt and told my wife it was a new rodding season and I was heading out. Again, in a roadster, but on dry roads. I stopped when I pulled onto the two lane and lit it off. Half way through second gear I realized it was so cold that I couldn't take a breath. I almost passed out. Again, not very smart.I got a month long sinus infection from that one. I think I'm older and wiser now. Enjoy the road. Sam
