I got there late because I had to work, so I really can't take any credit for any part of it, but I wanted to make sure to start a thank you post for everyone involved with the HAMB calenders.
When I walked in the house, it looked like an assembly line, no one could of worked any harder even if it was their own personal business they were working at.
http://photo.starblvd.net/~beatnik/2-4-3.jpg
I think we have a great group of people here. From begining to end in every phase, everyone involved put every effort possible to make it happen, and it has. Luckily everyone here knows how to work hard, and if it's not obvious from the other photos, play hard.
Thanks

Hey, Beatnik...you stepped in to cook the sausages for us!
Braving cold weather...a trick patio door...a grease fire...and certain ridicule after posing for the photo with the long, curved one!!!
That makes you a HAMB Hero in my book! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

A special thanks to my mom for making us awesome chili and potato salad to go along with the Italian sasages. I would also like to thank Roadstar and the Gay Michigan Bitches for bringing breakfast treats and to both Fab32 and Fuel Pump for helping to pay for the lunch and beverages yesterday.
A side note from me. I had no clue as to the amount of work that was involved as far as the stuffing and mailing went. If I didn't have these AWESOME dudes and BabyMomma to help, it would not have happened in one day. It took ALL of us working over 4 hours straight to get it all done. A trip by a few to Wally World to pick up more cardboard so that EACH and every calendar order was STIFF and HARD, and wouldn't get bent in the mail. Then cutting every piece of cardboard the right size. My mother made a trip to the post office to pick up mailers after we ran out. This would have been a 60+ hour job for one person and they would not have gotten out in time for Christmas.
THANK YOu from the bottom of my heart to all those that made this calendar possible.

It should be known that HRLC (Denise) has put a lot of work into this calendar thing. She was the mailing address for the cash(check) orders, she organized the stuffing(mailing) session, her house was used (trashed) to get them all out on time, and she was the hostess with the mostest for the work session. To many of you she does not need an introduction, but to those of you who haven't met her you will not meet a more terrific person or representative of the hot rod pastime.
THANK YOU DENISE for just being YOU.

i had a great time at denises...it was great being able to "give back" to the hamb, even if it was just a few hours out of a saturday.
i'm sure denise doesn't want to see another calendar for a long time, but if there are 2005 calendars, let me be the first to offer to help stuff envelopes again.
everyone working on getting those calendars out kicks ass in my book...a great group of people, i'm happy to have spent the day with all of you.
denise, thank you so much for being such an amazing hostess...if you ever need anything, just let the flint chapter of the michigan gay bitches know.

Dare I say it...oh hell, WHY NOT, I authored it!!!
What the hell is a HAMB? Better yet, what is it not?
It’s not a chat room. It’s not e-mail pen-pals, it’s not a blog. It’s not regional, it’s not G-rated and it’s definitely not a figment of the imagination.
The HAMB stands for Hokey Assed Message Board…and it is a very real place, anchored in the wilds of Kansas and moderated by a semi-tuff that believes “print is dead.” It is family, but, not in the truest sense of word…the “family” extends nationwide, world-wide, electronically, across unseen borders and into countless garages, shops and homes…it spouts traditionalism and will back it up vehemently when challenged.
The HAMB is a force of unseen proportions and generosity, one of those “hey, if you need it, I got it, it’s yours, for free,”…a force comprised of individuals, in almost every civilized country on earth, all pulling together for a common purpose – hot rodding.
Yeah, REAL HOT RODDING…is not dead, never was. It goes on 24/7/365…no billet pro builts here, none needed. Real hot rodding is about collecting the parts, building it yourself…and driving it. Real hot rodding is flatheads…and Olds Rockets, Caddy V8’s, a Stude or two and Hemi’s. Real hot rodding is a chopped coupe, a wicked sedan, a fenderless roadster or a lowered, skirted sled.
Never forget -- Real Hot Rodding is alive and well and living on the HAMB. .
NEVER FORGET--We're all in this TOGETHER...I'm proud to be a member of this group...THANK YOU ALL for purchasing the calendars...and...helping Ryan keep this place running!!

Well said 40. The calendar is a real life example of the passion exhibited on this board.
It makes me proud to be able to contribute in any way I can to HAMB. This certainly is our second family. And a BIG THANK YOU to Chad for taking the design challanges by the balls and doing such a great job.

If I ramble on and on about this place, it would be inappropriate, since I have only been here for about 5 months. But this place is amazing, the people, the knowledge, the humor, the opinions, and most of all its FREE.
Thanks for a great site -Joe http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

A post on further calendar availability might be a good idea. The calendars should be hitting mail boxes any time now and folks who didn't pre-order may be interested once the rest of us start raving about our mail.
