Well, I'm trying to relive my youth and theres no better place than here! Been looking and observing for a while and decided this is the place for me to do it. I grew up in the 50's/early 60's on flathead fords and 50's Olds' and slingshot dragsters.

Anyway, I have a 51 Plymouth Concord 2 dr sedan that was converted into a truck in the mid 50's. Gotta be different, so i'll be using slant 6 power. I will stay with Mopar power on this one. Its a one owner barn fresh find from the estate of a walnut farmer in Modesto, Ca. True story. He used it to haul walnuts to farmers market. He updated the motor to a 55 flattie during the body conversion and added coil springs in back for the extra weight. I don't know how long its been barned but its got nice patina. In the second picture I got carried away on the bumper. Should have left it alone and just concentrate on the mechanicals only. Thats original Modesto farm dirt that was behind the license plate. As far as I can tell only one repaint from original Mopar pea green to battleship grey. Interior is done in period turquoise. I'm pretty sure the front chrome would come out like the rear if polished. I'm looking for the mild 50's custom look with whitewall and steel wheels. How about RED wheels!:D

My other project is a 54 Nash 2 dr sedan. I'm working on both so I usually don't make much progress on either one. Thanks for reading and I will be asking for suggestions for her new look. Don

No, I'm in Santa Maria. About 45 minutes away from the car show capital of the world.
