Originally a Spokane National Forest Service truck, mostly rust free Eastern WA body. The paint is 90% stock and shows a nice natural patina, there are some touch ups over where the Forest Service emblems had been sanded off. I have taken care to keep this truck looking like the cool old truck that it is.
I used mono springs and correct shorter Monroe shocks lower the truck about 4" with a nice rake. The 60's slotted mag wheels with older TA radials on them look good, but a more traditional tire combo would be cool, (the stock wheels are included with the truck). Everything else is primarily stock. The brakes have been completely done from master cylinder to the hoses and wheel cylinders, all new (the lines are original).
The seat has been redone with distressed material. New stock armrests have been added. Aircraft type vintage seat belts were installed at one time and they have been redone with new webbing. The interior panels and head liner are all in nice condition.
The 223 six has been rebuilt recently. A fresh tune up including a carb rebuild has been done. The only changes under the hood is a vintage Judson Electronic Magneto coil setup and custom fabricated air cleaner added. All nicely detailed. The 3spd on the column has a new shifter collar, and shifts perfectly.
The wood in the bed has been replaced with old growth tongue and groove fir, all bolts replaced with true square head carriage bolts. A vintage wood tool box is bolted in the bed towards the front. New tail light housings and lenses are installed, I also have the original lenses which are in very good shape. It has a nice peep mirror on the drivers side. A vintage WA Truck Plate is registered under the collector vehicle status, you will never have to buy tabs again if you keep the truck in Washington.
So, this truck sits right. It looks great the way it is, and its a driver. I think the look matches a 60's drag race/Bonneville "push truck". Nothing about this truck seems out of place.
I have had it 8 years, but a 30 model A coupe is needing the garage space. There is a pretty good sized box of extras and the original springs, a transmission/extra bell housing...etc. $7200 cash or partial trades. Give me a call to see the truck. 360-734-4648
