Well I wish I was in New Zealand so I guess I'll post a couple of pictures. One of this week's projects;letter a couple doors,do some striping, and then remove part of the lettering and striping.

I agree! My dial up is struggling to open each file.

Dan, the painted knob looks good! I've got big plans for mine.

I'll have some stuff to post tomorrow, when I get to the good scanner.

Man I was about to do a Hamb shift knob for an auction for ryan. It was almost the same as yours a little more art deco but the Hamb was in the shift patern. Like the stickers I guess you beat me to it. Glad I didnt bake it yet back to my reg stupid cartoony shit I guess.

I'll come up with something for an auction I feel I been taking to much from here and not giving back, but its hard when I barley can afford to pay the bills.

Is it weird that donzies knob fits in my hand really well. I still got to clear and polish his knob. Is that weirder?

And finaly I scetch I was messing with and as always it has got some buick parts Im so obsessed with buicks its retarded. In my mind some buick parts can make any car cool.

Oh yeah host your pics somewhere else that way we can see the pics and save Ryan some bandwith. Photobucket is free and all you have to do is paste the link under your pic with the [IMG]'s on both ends in your post and whala big freaking pics.

Added another knob design to the collection. Name's Junior. I got the idea for him out of some old car magazines. Think he advertised one of those old trade schools for mechanics.

I made his cap separate so you could fit it either way.

Neat stuff this week.

I posted this on Sunday night last week, but I am betting not many saw it after that.

Done as a door prize for a show in September.

Great stuff, as usual, yall!

This is my first Friday Art post, so take it easy on me.

First one is a 100% digital painting (no scans, no digital photos) I did for my dad for Father's Day. If you have the latest Rodder's Digest, you can see an earlier version of the same file. I printed it out on Arches 90# cold press watercolor paper using my large inkjet printer. Can you tell I struggle with wheels in perspective? :o

Next one is my 4-year-old son's version of the same. :)

heres some stuff from me for this week

#1 is the design i started sketching out for a t-shirt...its actually going to be a stencil so the lines wont connect...which im learning wasnt a good idea as its a real pain to think about that while drawing

the other 2 are a pannel i did to cover the hole in the floor of the roadster...i tried to make it look like it was the corner of an old sign from my shop or something that i trimmed down to fit in the car...its engine turned..then painted black to leave the logo turned...then all rubbed through and whatnot with sandpaper/brake cleaner

not too productive this week aside from wireing!

My favorites so far are the Slide stuff both grown up and 4 year old, and the Wet Paint striping, especially the first shot. It has sort of a perfect circle in it which looks impossible.

I'm using the Friday Art Show to motivate myself to make something every week. While I was up north last weekend, I had some time to just sit and paint. (It was cold out anyway.) I did this toolbox with my name on it. Still practicing. It was all freehand though. No guidelines or nothin'.

earl scheib-- I am really diggin Brandon's stripes. They have an unusual feel to them with the (almost) right angles combined with the curves. It makes for a nice contrast.

decided i wanted a fancy new striping box...couldn't find anything worth using, so i decided to make my own...just finished it up tonight with the actual painting of it...
if i had to do it again, i would probably do some things different...but oh well..
it's 2ft long, 1 ft. high, and 8 inches deep with a drawer for brushes and goodies.

Looks nice Kritz I dig it and like the brass. I've been thinking about doing one for me out of extra oak I got for hardwood floors. I't would probably weigh a ton though what did you use and how the weight with it full.

As usual, lots of nice work here. Psychoarts, that RF cleaver rules. Kritz, I'm envious of that box, both the box itself and the striping on it. I've been looking for a good wooden box for a while now. The lettering on there kicks ass.

Just a couple from me this week. First up is a metal toolbox I bought because I was thinking of trying my hand at striping at shows. It's way too damn small, but what the hell, it was cheap and I can always keep my extra crap in an old ammo can 'till I score a wood box. This was my first real attempt at lettering- it turned out okay [I did it with my striping sword. I need some lettering quills].

Next is a wooden toilet seat I did tonight:
