Since I am doing some welding and such right now this is about all I came up with to add in terms of tech.
When using my cutting torch I cut over an empty 55 gallon drum. Its about the right height to rest your elbows to steady the cut and the barrel catches all the sparks and slag, keeping them from going all over the place. In my old, smaller shop I did alot of cutting outside and the barrel kept the grass from catching fire. A person can also build a "table" of expanded metal that sits down in the barrel to catch any parts you don't want falling to bottom. You can let all the scrap collect in the bottom and just haul the barrel to the recycler when its time. It is also fairly easy to mount jigs, vices etc. to the edge of the barrel to hold your work pieces. A barrel roller can also be fabbed up pretty easy to roll the barrel around the shop. Takes up less room than a "cutting table". Hope someone can use this info. Thanks
