Hi folks from the great rodding wasteland of the rural midwest, hope to learn a lot about traditional, straightforward rod building, without all the fluff. Hope this is a good fit for all of us.

Damn fellas, taking over this one too? Welcome aboard igorw, got family in the midwest, hate the humid summers, and winters. Could be worse though, could be earthquakes or something, LOL.

Rodding wasteland? Stop with the negativity Moriarity! Stick around here a while, you will see that there is lots going on in the Midwest.

Oh yeah, S. Dakota's a different animal, still a lot of good ol rod material. The few stashes of old tin around here are 1. not for sale 2. guarded by crazy old bastards with guns and 3. real hungry, mean looking dogs. Maybe I generalized too much about the midwest but around this part of Ill rods are still slick, full of billet with a cookie cutter crate engine under the hood-yawn.
