Hi folks, I've just joined, thought I'd introduce myself. Names Paul, I come from England. Been into cars, bikes, rods for years. I had a Chevy Nova for a while, then I built a small 350 powered 'T' bucket, roadster type contraption. For the last year or so I've been working on a '34 Morris Eight I picked up in fairly ratty condition, like just a rotten body shell. I've built a box chassis for it, with dropped tube front end, and four bar rear. Now I'm into fixing the body up, so it's learning curve on bodywork and panel bashing. The Motor is a Rover V8, 215 cubes.
Cheers, Paul

Cool choice for the mil! I actually tossed around the idea of building a blown Buick 215 and putting that in my 52 Special. Looks like a fun project.

Anyone who can engineer their own chassis is a nice addition to the HAMB. Looking forward to more progress shots!

What size/brand are those tires? Especially the rear. It's hard to get radials that do a decent job of looking good, those look about right for a fenderless car.

Welcome aboard and I second the tire queastion.

Hey a freind of mine owns the sistership to your car. Borris the Morris is the car, its purple with a 4 banger of some sort (cortina ?) cool little car, her other car is a 64 Pontiac so like chalk and cheese size wise, the alloy V8 will make for some fun.
welcome aboard, seems to be alot of Poms on here now must be on the back of the world cup win.....

The tyres (tires) are from a 4x4 shop. I just walked in and asked for something tall, thin, and not too mud plugger looking. I think they are retreads, called king Pin, or King Cup or something like that. 16" too. Fronts are 15" Goodyears.
Cheers, Paul

I really like your music and The Smiths were one of the greatest bands ever, a tad whiny, but great nevertheless.

Taildraggin,
I come from Stafford, about as far from the sea as you can get in the UK.
On the odd occasion the sun comes out I strap them bells right on and dance the day clean away http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
