Am I going to run ito problems if I use copper head gaskets on my 8BA flathead with Offy aluminum heads?

What are you referring to?the corrosion causing process due to the metals reactions with each other? I would think they would seal much better- so Id say thats the up side and the corrosion would be a lesser issue. I'd recommend to use a quality modern coolant and change it regularly?

I've put a used set of them on my flathead along with Permatex blue. I even painted the gasket aluminum beforehand. Lots of miles on them with no problems

I recently changed the head gaskets on my 8BA - I never heard a convincing argument for copper head gaskets over Fel-Pro composites. Here's what Glenn Hayes sent me:

"Coolant seal is of most importance, and copper designs are marginal at best. I'm assuming from your posts, you have the '49-'53 engine, which we offer a complete gasket set for (FelPro # FS7525B) as well as intake, exhaust manifold gaskets, oil pan, rear seal, water outlet, waterpump. Be certain to have clean head bolts or studs and nuts (which ever you may be using) and ONLY use Moly Lube or Anti-Seize on the threads, NO OIL! Using any other lube on the threads will give incorrect torque load (clamp load) to the gasket surface. Once you have successfully torqued the cylinder head in the proper sequence, wait 15 minutes then back off each nut/bolt in reverse sequence, 1/2 turn....then wait 20 minutes, then retorque in the proper sequence to the proper torque specifacations. What this procedure does is give the gasket a "Set", then gives it the opportunity to relax (imitating a heat cycle) then the re-torque will generally end up in a different clock position due to the increased clamp load".
