There is wisdom in Fiddy's words...for once:D JK Fiddy:D
Build the 56. Learn all you can about fabricating, body work, mechanics, etc.. If you are still in High School ditch all your non-essential curriculum and enroll in welding, auto mechanics, body shop, or whatever vocational classes they offer. Unless you want to be a doctor or some shit like that the vocational classes will help you much more in the real world, even if you don't work in the automotive field you will learn things like work ethics, common sense, planning, etc...Trust me, I sat through four years of advanced and AP biology, all the pre-college shit my school had, now I wish I had taken welding and body shop because I would much rather be better at doing that stuff and I forgot all the other shit anyhow.
Enough life advice, build the 56, learn from the experience, learn from the HAMB, get some hot rod history books, build your dream sedan right - don't cobble it together for the sake of having an A.

well, im no longer in high school, i am home schooled, got in to much trouble...
yes, i fully intend to build the 56 up in the next couple years, but i want to do the traditional rod now for under 5000......the list of stuff i have for the 56 is close to $35,000 and i will not settle to build it any other way.
i car way to much about the 56 to just throw it together to drive it, it was my great uncle on my moms sides.....when he passed away my great aunt kept it untill around 1991-1993 (something like that) and then my dad saw it and wanted it, so she gave it to him.......he started on it and then he left my mom and it became mine.........
so i want to build the trad. rod on the cheap side/kinda thrown together......
