I'm posting from New Zealand - you know that place somewhere down in the South Pacific where we drive on the wrong side of the road.
I've been following the HAMB for a while now to learn some stuff. My current car stable doesn't quite fit the desired profile, but I'm working on that slowly. Each time I buy another "classic" I aim for an earlier car. Right now I am back to 1964 with a Merc Monterey 'vert. The others are a '69 Lincoln, '68 Morris Woodie and '70 Holden Kingswood (Australian).
My project is a Morris Minor roadster pickup with full custom chassis, custom IFS and rear 5 link. Engine is an alloy 2l Nissan turbo, mainly for weight distribution and packaging reasons. Right now I'm practicing my amateur metal shaping skills on the firewall, removable trans cover, and inner guards. I do all my own bodywork and welding, although the chassis was pro-built here in NZ to give the project a kick start.
One pic is an "ass-end" parade of my drivers, the others are of the Morris-in-progress.
Trev.
