Just found this board while searching for info on heads and cam choices. Been married for over thirty years. We met when we were 14 and 15 years old, and we love working together on everything.
My hubby and I are currently building a 1970 Dodge truck with our 21 year old daughter. We don't know much about Dodge...but we've built a few Chevy's.
We've got a 396 in the flat-bottom jet boat ... that one's a lot of fun in the Colorado River. We even took it up the Grand Canyon about 50 or so miles up river. What an adventure that was!!:D Got to float 8 hours down river to get back to camp on the gas that we carried. Imagine pedal to the floor while going UP the rapids!!
Also currently doing an engine swap in the 1970 Chevy truck. Stock 350.
The Olds 442 is in the garage waiting it's turn! We were in the middle of blasting the frame for painting when hubby took down a telephone pole with his Harley. That was nine years ago and he's finally back on the road.
Fixed the Harley last year. Stretched the frame and raked it. Total rebuild in the living room.
I've got a 1954 Ariel Square Four motorcycle that my Dad bought new. It's my pride and joy! I learned how to ride on the back of a bike on that one!:)
The 1941 Cadillac (63 series) has the original motor (345 flathead) that runs like a champ. Parked it a few years back when we decided that the original wiring was losing it's cloth insulation. Making a wiring harness is in it's future. It would really like a paint job too!
The Ford Country Sedan wagon is a 1964. It will be a project with our 22 year old daughter (when she get's the money to build a 302 and drop it in!)
So, as you can tell...there is no lack of projects to pick from around here...just need to win the lottery! I'm hoping to learn a lot from reading the boards...
