how do I post a pic from my computer?

I'm a dumbass when it comes to computers.

I have a pic of my 59 Buick I would like to post, but I have no idea how.

I don't want to have to join some hosting deal just to post a picture.

Can someone explain step by step how to do this?

first off, the file needs to be less than or close to about 71kb... most cameras take a pic thats much larger, so it needs to be resized before you can upload it to the HAMB...

once you have resized it in a editor like photoshop, paintshop pro, or the one that came with your digicam(99% of all cams come bundled with some form of editing software) start a new post, or a reply to one.

on the same page on the HAMB that the text editor you post or reply from just down from the list of "post icons" is an area called " Additional Options" in the large red bar... below that is a box called "Attach Files", click on the manage attachments button, which opens up a small browser window.
in it will be several little boxes where you can type the location of the file on your hard drive, or click the "browse" button to find it... kinda like opening a file with any program. click on the picture there, then click "upload" once you have the pic listed.
close that window when you have all the pics you want listed and uploaded, then click on "submit" just like normal.

the easiest way to post pictures is go to one of them free picture hosting sites like photobucket and up load them there and then post them to this board from there using the url thing:eek:
