This is weird! I mean the subject not the execution.
Work is top notch as usual. Is this an existing car? or he plans to build it this way?
Maybe its just the wheel/tire combo, w/ some period late 60s early 70s mags on pinners would have a diffrent feel.
Nice one still.
Allison, im a big fan of your stuff too, these new ones are bad ass.

Well I thought I'd try something different and paint. It's my first attempt at it. The canvas is 18"x24". Let me know what you think. I have more on the way. It will be at Torque Fest for sale unless it goes before then.
Sorry about the pic quality, its from my cell phone, just finished it late last nite.

Really great stuff today fer sure!
So I know about 1/2 of you have been asking - HEY where is the cross you are gonna have me do for the art show for Torque Fest?
I gotta tell ya guys - I am way behind with stuff - now that I have had to get a "real" job I dont have the time I had in the past to devote to all this stuff........as a result - I have not been able to get all these art pieces out to the artists.
THIS weekend is when we are devoting ourselves to packing all these remaining pieces and sending them to the contribuiting artists.
Please email me at:
coolstuff@earthlink.net or here on the HAMB to let me know your address and we will send these out to you.
These need to be back to me by April 20.
For those that dont know what the art show is all about - it is a part of the Vintage Torque Fest - and that show is all about raising money to help kids with heart conditions in the area.
Thanks for everyone's help and look forward to hearing from you.

Here is something that I did with some other striper buddies for the Detroit Autorama charity auction. John Harrow, a friend of his, Ron Cooper and Scal all tagged this with me. This was John Harrow's Idea - he did the leaf and I did the Tiki head.
Lots of fun!!

Man, there's some just awesome stuff out there this week. I did a tool box in a sort of artistic way, tried to make it look old and handmade in the early 20's out of local or rare patterned wood. This one is splalted Hickory, with a big ole spalt knot on it.

Finally coming at you with my own concept sculpt.I thought of this after watching a Clint Eastwood marathon. If we had to make clint a fink I hope this is what he would look like, and after watching all movie's I had to tie in at least 5 of his movies. So I present to you the fink with no name, the good, the bad, the fink, hang the fink high, high plains fink and as I like to call him FISTFUL OF FINK.

OOPH! Still recovering from Autorama this last weekend in Detroit. Great to meet many of you who dropped by the booth to say hello.
I had two new silkscreened posters down there for the show:
http://car-n-art.com/images/lil_honker_poster.jpg
Little Honker: 12"x18" two color silkscreen in Black and Bright Silver on Cherry Red 100 French paper. Signed and Numbered. #1 went upstairs in a frame for the Charity Art auction and raised $185 for the Leader Dogs for the Blind! Thanks bidders! They are up on my website for those who might want one while they last for a fraction of what they go at auction for!
http://car-n-art.com/images/burninglovelposter.jpg
Burning Love #4 was done for the guys of Half Fast Chicago who put on some kick ass events. This is a 18"x12" poster, hand pulled and screened in silver ink on black french paper. Pictures just don't do these justice! Signed and numbered. Again, now up on the web for ya.
That's about it for the moment. Too much to do, too little time.

Speaking of the Detroit Autorama...
Every Friday I thoroughly enjoy seeing the art on the Friday Art Show. So when I read that the FAS guys were teaming up to do special renditions at the Autorama of the Little Honker I was REALLY excited! HAMB artists and the Little Honker, what could be better?
Needless to say, when I saw this on Saturday I knew I HAD to have it:
http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e46/ChevyGirlRox/Art/DSCF1744.jpg
So, I ponied up and won it at the Leader Dogs Auction! Talk about a win-win-win for me; an original Weesner, the Little Honker, and for charity!
Here it is with the Little Honker in the basement last weekend in Detroit:

I am not an artist, but I truly enjoy the Friday Art Show. Great work everyone. I especially like GaryC's 2D coupe and HotRodRendering's "Salt Shaker" design.
A cool idea would be to establish an art gallery that would display and sell the type of work displayed in the Friday Art Show.

Incredible show, gang!!! Did four of these for the 'stripers' auction...no idea if anyone ever got one...but, being from metro Detroit, and having been exposed to Stanley Mouse at the tender age of twelve, I thought I'd plunk a Freddy Flypogger-ish dude in the rod. A real honor to be included in such an amazing show, and great to meet you guys!!! Looking forward to next year!

Here's my addition from 1989.
This is a submission that was sent to me from Roth Studios to see if I could ink for Big Daddy Roth back in 1989. I was sent a rough pencil sketch on this trippy paper with a pencil note saying draw me. I inked it and sent it To Roth only to get it back and slightly confused as to why. I called Roth and back then I had to ask for permission from my folks and Roth explained to me some basics; that I needed to sign my work, not be heavy on outline and add lots of depth by adding hatch marks. He added a lot of stuff that I never inked in and left it as is. He as well sent me a comic book and a pile of decals. To this day it was possibly one or another artist working for Roth that did the additional inking. I'll never know.
