New member to 'computer forums', old member to bench racing. Enjoy wrench'n throw aways into something useable, and love doing it old school. The Super-highway is a great tool in winter up here, it keeps me interested and believing the warm weather will return; now that it has and together with this group of 'Do'ers, I may get my project well underway.
I am building a model T Touring onto an A chassis, drivetrain by '46 Ford truck donation. The major components are now here, and the wife has lost her garage bay.
H.A.M.B. classifieds got my attention, and the incredible tech has coming back......Too often.
.....and NO, there isn't model A's in most barns out here...either. I checked!

Alright! A fellow Machinist.

Welcome from Sunny Cal.!!LOL!!!!

Thanks, for the welcomes....
I honestly believe that being a machinist hampers myself in this hobby....TOO DAMN PICKY! The style of cars and projects that I have seen on this 'site' are very interesting and describe the type project that I have been thinking about building since '87. That was when my dad said he wanted to discard the ol'e flathead from his '46 p/u .....some serious begging, and he kept it for me untill my project became more of a reality (the model A chassis find). Now with a 'tub, main rails, and the driveline, we are ready to say there REALY is a project underway. Next is finding a drop axel and Buick drum brakes with spindles to fit.
I know this isn't the best spot to ask, but I am still torn whether to media blast or acid dip the body. What would be considered the deciding factor?
OK, back to work.....yea, I have the machine shop in my back yard.
