Took some pics at a local junkyard today. Thought some of you may be interested. They have tons of A & T parts and lots of '50's vintage cars too.

This is not even the tip of the iceburg of what they have. They have racks of old hoods, windshields, fenders, doors, grille shells. They also have a building full of headlight buckets, steering columns, door handles, etc. Oh, and there are banjo rearends, flatheads and bangers everywhere, not to mention all kinds of different wheels.

1lowD, that's the only newer car in the yard. I think because the owner drives one and that's his parts car. There prices are fair and they're even better if you need a part in the winter, there's snow on the ground, and you'll pull it yourself. I'd say the odds are pretty good they'd have a turtle deck for you.

I want that deuce cabriolet!! Oh yeh! Everyone does. How do you get in touch with this place?

wayfarer
12-04-2003, 05:39 PM
I don't know if I should give up the name, you guys will probably snatch up all the parts. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif For the HAMBRs, ok. It's called the antique auto ranch. They have a website, but it doesn't list everything they've got. In fact, I don't think it's ever been updated. www.antiqueautoranch.com (http://www.antiqueautoranch.com)

Those are the biggest pics that I could fit on here, they were much larger and easier to see things before I shrunk them. If you want better pics, let me know.

You should have posted a pic of the room with carburators spread all over the floor that you have to walk over to pick up the Divco wheels. Sorry, we drug all the Divco and Kelseys out of there about four years ago. I wonder if they have anything new since then. Good Luck guys.

wayfarer

dug, they have new stuff since I was there last week! I found one divco wheel, but it was out by the racks of grille shells.

When we were there we parked out by the road and next to the van there was a Kelsey with a tire on it. I had to step over it to walk in the door. They wanted $20 for it. Threw that in. It wasn't even inside the joint. Lots of weird shit. Very little early Ford stuff. I think about that place every time I go to Spokane. Probably should check back this year. Don't tell anyone, it'll be our secret. The shits in piles and they don't have a clue what they have.

quickrod, I don't know about a 2 door sedan, but there's a '31 chevy 4 door sedan with part of the roof missing. Rob, I'll email you the pictures later today. I posted from the computer at my parents' house because they have broadband access and it takes less time to send pictures. Dug's right, they have no idea what they have, the best way to find something is to scrounge.

Unkl Ian, I've told some of those guys looking for doors about this place in the past. Don't know whether or not they called the place.

Has anyone had luck with getting in touch with them? To get an idea of prices, they told me $75 dollars for a cowl. I don't know how that relates to others, but I don't think that it's too steep. Let me know if you're having problems getting replies from them and I'll see what I can do. I'd go there today, but the snow's flying so it's not a good day to dig around in the mud.

Guys, sorry I haven't made it out there since I took those pictures. There were the holidays, then my friend died suddenly last weekend and yesterday it was -18 outside. Oh well, today they're forcasting 6"-10" of snow and that's on top of the two feet or so we got last week, so it may be awhile before I make it back out there.
