What was the last year Ford put a Flatty in a car or truck?

53 in the states, 239 c.i. same as the original Y block in 54.

Till '54 in Canada with 337 cubes and 145 horsepower. Halibrand also "found" new generation flatheads built in France with a 4.00" stroke that were made into the early '90s. Not cheap but brand new! Guess you could say Ford flatties were made into the '90s.

Them there Cannuks have always done things a little different than us, Eh. However state side 1953 was last production for both Truck and Car. Wow! was that a Mercury Truck?

The last year of production for the Ford Flathead V8 in the U.S. was 1953. In Canada it was '54. In France they used the Flathead V8 up into the late '60's for military and in Russia I think they built the Ford Flathead V8 into the '70's.
