I read in a peterson published how too book...that youcan "soak" your axles fr a couple days covered in dry ice..and then let them thaw in room temp. Says yhey will be considerably harder to twist and break.
Anyone ave experience with this trick?

I read the same thing,back in the 70's.
The process has been developed since,that is basically what they do for Cryogenic treatment.
Quite common now.
