i'm needing new carpet for my 60 catalina. i've done a search and there are many companies out there. i'm not looking for a stock color, as the interior will be custom.

who have you had luck with? who has good products, prices, and customer service?

thanks in advance

JC Whitney has a molded carpet that I thought was of very good quality - I got the cut pile type and it fit almost perfect, it seems like most aftermarket loop type carpets collect dirt so I like the other style.

Kanter sells a good kit. Who knows, they're probably all made in the same place.

heres the plan for the interior. the car is emerald green with a white top, so i want a similar colored green carpet. the seats and door panels will get done in white tuck n roll, with green piping. gonna shoot the dash and all the metal trim the same green as the body. should look nice.

donnie, yeah i got the site. tons of info. i've got all the interior panels stripped. i just need to get the paint and try my hand at spraying.

I put a black ACC kit in my '67 skyalrk about 3 yrs ago and within six months, it had already started to fade to brown. I don't know why they have such a great reputation; maybe I just got a bad carpet.

Wayfarer...Black carpet is easy to dye. Has to be cheaper than buying new if it's in good shape. Fat

I've been using ACC carpets for years and never had any problems.

I had the same problem with an ACC black carpet in my 70 Chevy Pickup...cept it turned a kinda purple shade.
