Here are a few pics of Cavemans 58. We saved it from the crusher a few months back. It's a more door but its still cool.He used to have a 27 roadster but 2 years ago the day before Thanksgiving he got buttwhacked by an 88 year old man and put on his lid.

Slick! Did the chrome rims come with it? It's amazing what they'd go ahead and crush... What're the plans for it?

We put the chromes on it.It had 4 mismatched wheels and 4 matching flats when we found it.We put a pretty horsey 350/350 combo in it and got to hear it for the 1st time sat..sounded good. If all goes well it will move and stop on its own power tonight.future plans are a basic white paint job w/ red pinstriping and red interior.also a major lowering job.

Looks fine man- tell him I hope he has better luck lowering his than I have- I am having trouble with the carrier bearing not living long- think it is pushing it forwards as a result of lowering and forcing the bearing out of the rubber in bearing holder.am currently thinking of one peiceing it.

looks great.. Personally I really like these 4 doors they seem ALOT more proportioned.
thanks for sharing the photos.
Watch yourself Sawzall, I know where you live.
That 58 will make an awesome cruiser, if your friend has any questions, have him drop me an email.

We already one pieced it. We work in a steel fab shop and built a new bottom for the "tunnel".We built a 10 ga. u shaped piece to allow more clearance. The driveline we used is out of an 84 Chev s/w.We put one of those inbred u-joints with the 2 differnt size crosses and caps. It made it's 1st lap around the block lastnite. Still some fine tuning and tinkering but it did good.
P.S. Hey Duck
It had 283 with a cast iron powerglide what gear set do you think it has?We havent got as far as checking that. I do know they are pretty good cuz it ain't bashful about lifting the nose.
