I don't have any pictures but I have noticed the Pacer IFS being used lately with very good results. It actually looks really good and the cost has to be cheap. I know corvair and Jag were used alot in the 70's but I haven't seen much of them lately. Jag probably due to cost and corvair just because there are to many options that yield better results.

Hey Joe, great tip. That article is really helpful. We are putting together an article of our own on different IFS on the Ford Truck board. This is great. Thanks. himmelberg

Mein Himmel,
I run `63 Jag front and rear on my `29 rpu. Gimme some time (after I get home tonite) and I'll take a couple of pix of the front. Since I'm "challenged" on posting pix on the HAMB, you might wanna give me an e-mail address.

Corvair is usually too wide for 30s and 40s cars

A buddy of mine used a corvair on the front of his 33 Ford truck. It is probably the ugliest thing I have ever seen. I hope he hurries up and gets his fenders on to hide it. Kinda like a "double bagger" if you know what I mean. It gets the job done, but no one wants to look at it.

Aren't corvair fronts supposed to be somewhat dangerous anyway?

I remember that a pacer front end was too wide for a 40 Ford unless you used special offset wheels.

my e-mail is himmelberg54 at aol. we have been citing how much drop you can get out of each application, like measuring from the top of the frame rail to the c/l of the spindle. This is great stuff guys, appreciate it. himmelberg
