Will there be guns provided, or should we bring our own?
I might be down that way for the holidays...

I'll stop by Kermit's place and see if he still has any peek-a-boo blocks.

Damn my Decembers have turned around. Used to be that there wasn't ANYTHING to do, now we've got the postponed Autorama, Austinites exporting a little CC to Houston, JohnnyAce getting everyone else high on oneshot and thinner and finally, meat, gunpowder, and fire at a remote location.

Gotta love Texas!

Thanks for the directions Ric. Whats all this talk about weapons? Will I need one? Maybe Modernbeat and I can have a knife fight. It would be like a 21st century David and Goliath fight!

We'll be there! Looking forward to seeing everyone again and checking out the new garage. I talked to 62Buford yesterday and he's making progress on his spud shooter. I'll try to limit myself to less than five steaks this year. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif Man, y'all can cook!

Hami, just type in Trinity, TX. That'll get you close enough.

But I can tell you that it's a 3-3.5 hr drive from Lewisville/ Carrolton depending on Dallas traffic. From Mesquite, I'd say count on about 3 hrs give or take a few minutes.

Some quick directions:

The easiest way to get there (and this involves some country drivin') is to take I-45 south to Centerville. Take HWY 7 from Centerville to Crockett. In Crockett, take the Loop to HWY 19. Take HWY 19 South towards Lovelady/ Trinity. When you see the Barnes Switch sign, slow down. It will be on your right. You can see the shop from the highway.

You can also go I-45 down to Huntsville and HWY 19 through Riverside up to Trinity, if you're opposed to country drivin'. It takes about the same amount of time.

Kool Kat
12-23-2003, 11:09 AM
I would recommend the I45 to HWY19 route.

Outside of Centerville there is a stretch of hwy 7 under construction, really fucked up.

Thanks to Ric and Shiela for another great party! Nancy and I had a blast and really enjoyed seeing everyone. I think "Spuds Burwell" has started a tradition with the potato cannon. Y'all havin' mashed potatos for New Year's? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif The Outkasts still whip up the best barbeque in Trinity County, if not all of East Texas!

Thanks again for inviting us up!

man that was great shindig. best ribs ive ever had. i give a special big thanks to big rick. not only did he let me come to the party he did a hellof alot of work to my truck the next day. he cut the bed off, moved it over and rewelded it back on. if that wasnt enough he fabricated some shock mounts, welded those on and gave me shocks to save my ass on the way home. i cant get over the difference. but the best part of the whole weekend was getting to ride in that bad ass car of his. you should have seen me, i was giggeling like a school girl. man what a car. i guess it just seems right that the coolest car should belongs to the coolest guy. rick, you come down to the reverend show on feb 27 in denton and i'll take care of you. thanks again and i'll try to post some pics later.
