Finished scratchboard: "Little Monster Digger." I liked this one as soon as I drew it on a loose piece of paper next to my computer while talking on the phone. The original started out as a 2" sketch which I scanned and then redrew larger before transferring it to the scratchboard surface before scratching it out. Remember: Save the doodles! Most of my stuff starts out this way.

Got to do a great piece for a veteran that we gave him last night as we surprised him. He was a door gunner for two tours in Vietnam and we used his military history, stories, medals and any other bits of info we had to do up this tribute painting for him. Was an honor to give a little something back to thank him for all his service. Thanks to all the veterans this week....and every week.

Zombie has agreed to do the cover of the coloring book to benefit www.helpinghannahsheart.org (http://www.helpinghannahsheart.org)
We are very humbled at the support from the different artists. THANK YOU and be on the lookout for this
in the winter time. This will be for sale at the Vintage Torque Fest merchandise booth as well.
Artists that have agreed to do the line art for the interior pages - please start getting the pieces to me. We are going to
have this off to print by the new year we hope.
For those that have already done so - THANKS
For those that wish to contribute - email us - there are about 5 spots left (we give one artist a page and
the artist gets credited in the front cover with their name and website/contact info)
Thanks and I look forward to seeing more stuff on the show today!
OH!

Time for a quick post before I run off to Motorburg;
Y'all will remember this drawing of a '32 roadster from Switzerland that I posted a while back; The owner of the car chimed in and commissioned a T-shirt for his hot rod club - Pine Mountain Speed Shop of Auenstein, Switzerland. Special thanks go out to Etienne Butterlin from PowerGlide Magazine for taking the original photograph and for arranging the hook-up.

Spoggie... just out of curiosity, why was the "sloper" on the style sheet advertised as a utility vehicle? It's one of the coolest body designs, ever. Should be on the GT sheet! GaryGary,
The All-enclosed Coupe ('Sloper') was designed as an up to date sport coupe. The Chev commercial version had no back seat. On others the back seat folded, allowing a space to sleep, or carry 8 hundred-weight of stuff. Popular with sales folk in the days before motels.
Holden's made the GM models. So cool, I agree!

Wow - off to an awesome start today!
Clysdale - that was a very cool thing to do, I'm diggin' the frame too!
Ruben - that is sweet, I can't wait to check out your link when I get to work where the connection speed is better than dial up.
Here's something I just finished for the local vintage dirt trackers. Hoping to get these embroidered on come hats and Dickies work shirts instead of just screen printed on t's this year. One of the racers has a 57 Hardtop he calls the Flying 7 that is so much fun to watch tear sideways through the turns.

This is what I have been up to the last few weeks. doing some sculpts to cast in resin this spring.
This idea came from a conversation I had with Jason Mattox of Timebomb Kustoms. We have seen people do paintings of a zombie hand on a shifter but never a sculpt. So I talked to Jason and asked if it was ok to put the idea to clay and here is the result of the raw sculpt just before going into the oven to harden.

When someone buys one of my pieces I try to do a little box art as a thank you.
I am sure most everyone on the FAS drew more pictures in their HS notebooks than actual notes. I was no exception. These usually are "HS notebook style" and take less than 10 minutes but I sometimes get the feeling they are as happy with the box art as the purchased piece. LOL
I guess it's the thrill of the unexpected. This is the latest, going to a fellow HAMBer

I'm helping John put together the art and layout for the Torque Fest 2011. One new item will be a coloring book called "Asphalt Fiends", ya know, for the kids (big kids too)
Todays contribution is really mostly Zombie's art showing here. I did the type layout.

This wont be released until Winter - most likely end of Feb. But we have to start getting all the artwork completed now in order to get to the printer by the first of the year.
I will post the finished product when it arrives - I thought Keven Carter did an amazing job with the layout...........but then he always does amazing work - did ya happen to see the logo he did for us down in the bottom right hand corner. Really cool.

This is an older piece, but I'm newer here. I've been working on the Gears of War series for the xbox 360, since the beginning. On Gears of War 2, I designed all the stuff the player can find or collect in the game. One of them was this old car magazine cover. I did the artwork and built the car.

O.K- So in the spirit of Bomonster's talk of sketches I present these found things..
p.s Bomonster- enjoyed your response to 'Janet';)..
Bmnnevels- I've always dug that car. I like the way you've rendered it. Red suits it, a custom rod with a Ferrari 'nod'. My one beef (2c?)- the lowrider scrub line concerns me (us aussies drive shit roads with big drains etc.) So I don't go for body/chassis below rim height.(hypocritically, I note the too low stance of the rig in my sketch..)
* Anyway,Yeh, it'd be a killer thing, a very tough lil' coupe! (And much more feasible than this, slightly similar, Motorama-like concept I did a while back)..

Thanks to everyone that liked the zombie hand. Once I have a chance to cast them in resin and get Timebomb Kustoms to run some of his magic paint over them I will repost a finished pic.

Another sensory overload, thanx to all. Some awesome renderings and super talent hanging out. The ol truck in the cotton field is really touching with the fab lighting on it. The fall colors in the pick up shots are sweet. Thanx for all the talented contributions. Hot 57 Ford Jigger! ~Sololobo~

One of the latest cars we (Design Brothers) did for Bob from 1 Bad Ass Garage on the Hub. It is his 1961 Buick Invicta. Of course we did it Design Brothers Style! I also included DaHulk's drawing from which the 3d version was based.
Enjoy and come visit us on the Hub Garage

tinpau, I was pouring over these the other day. I like the rear 3/4 view the best and the preliminary sketches are really nice.
Great show everyone, I don't think there's a single piece this week ,less mine, that isn't praise worthy.
