My Less Gay Car... Updated photos

Although not totally straight, My car has made improvements.. Still need to lose the wheels and tires. Actually this is only a temporary rattle can job. the "real" paint job comes in a few weeks. This is just so I can show my face at the Hoe Down on September 14th. Also leaving are the pipes in favor of lakes style. Don't think I have enough time to finish them before the show...

I think some beefier head lights would toughen up the front end a bit. Were you planning on changing them?

Yeah..thats a PACK RATS decal on the windshield where the PA inspection sticker should be. I think as long as theres some kind of sticker there its OK...

Oh yeah..I'm planning on changing alot more, including the headlights. Larger and lower is the way I'm going. This was just what I got done on Labor Day weekend. Ran out of time and money as usual. At least it aint yellow any more! those Scallops had to die as well...

Me likes it Spikey. Leave it just so, the wheels and tires rock, they're a refreshing change from red wheels and whitewalls. I love it, just call it done and enjoy it.

Nads- I hear ya man..I loved that C-Dan too. But I just gotta own a five-winder before I kick off. I'm sure the guy I traded with will make it gay though. Last I saw it, he had added stickers and stuffed animals. wish I could have both cars, but theres only room for one car and three bikes in my garage. I have a million pictures of the C-Dan. One is a huge poster that hangs above my computer. All I have to do is look up and there it is.. large as life!

Rickyracer- Thats a 6" chop. A bit much I'ld say..PLUS its channeled 4". I'm 6'-1" Basically my knees are hugging the steering wheel. I look out the small side window. Long trips? Hmmm...better get back to me on that one. But hey..my back is still in great shape so I'll drive it till I can't.

I think the PO-Leece will LOVE it! Probably pull me over and ask for my autograph every chance they get. But first they have to get past the stealth bomber paint that absorbs all radar and the angled chopped roof that also acts as a radar deterent. PLUS..nothing flashy anymore to catch thier eye.

Looking good! I'm building a '31 5wdo myself, with a 10.5:1 460. What are your radiator dimensions, and who is the manufacturer? What CR do you have in that Rat motor? I'm running a 4 1/2" chopped deuce grille, so cooling may be a problem. Thanks.

The radiator is a home made job from the looks of it. I thought it was too small at first, but it is a four core. After I stopped it from leaking it works great. Even without the shroud. Even if I chopped the shell it woould fit.

As for the motor..I didn't build it but Glasshole knows who did. I believe its 9.5:1. I have no problem running pump gas.

Lets re-cap- Its short and thick but it works and doesn't leak anymore. And its un-shrouded

I'll chime in my vote too. I really like what you did to the car. Leave the wheels and tires alone....they go well with the flavor the rat motor gives the car. This is one car where wide whites and chrome reverse or smoothies just wouldn't look right. Give those headlights back to the kid with the Schwinn bannana bike and gas those turn signals while your at it too. Other than that, the car kicks ass.

Thanks for all the ideas and opinions. I think most of us are on the same page. I may change the front tires to something narrower and the rear ones to a narrower tire as well, but still have em wide on back. Those headlights bother me worst of all.

Sam- The interior is not black diamond tuft although I wish it were. Anything is better than the tan..I guess its tweed..deal going on now. I may just rip it out and have it bare bones. I really like tuck and roll and may have it done in a cream color when I get that far.

Anyone think that lightening holes on the visor would look cool? I'm toying with that idea.
