I got some Captain Lees Spray strip today and put it on my glass 27 body today. They claim it is safe to use on fiberglass.I started to lightly scrape it off only to find it was attacking the gel-coat.Just something to keep in mind.

It might not be the stripper JT.
It could be just old gel coat.
Tucci's (The guys that built the green pickup in the absorber ads) are doing an old glass motorhome for a party coach.
The body shop did the normal prep, and as soon as they started putting color on it the solvents reacted with the gel coat.

Good post to help others.
Safe to use on fiberglass does not mean safe to use on gelcoat. If you let the stripper eat away all the gelcoat, I bet it would leave the raw fiberglass (the actual fibers and resin) unharmed.
