I'm a metal fabriactor for the past 7 years and decided to jump in on building my own rod. I started toying with the idea of a t-bucket cause i can build it pretty cheap and thought it would be a good learning experience.
I'm using California Custom Roadsters bluprints for the frame and befor I weld the two rails together i wanted to put in lightning holes in front of the body. I'm looking for a dimension from the front of the rail to the start of the body???? Or do I need to wait till I get the body and mock it up first??
I woud like to do it before all welded together so I can lay each rail separtly on the mill to drill the holes but I can do it after with a drill if need be..How bout lil help or suggestions guys!!!
Thanx!

Welcome to the H.A.M.B. Wrong page, this one is for intro's only.
You might try the main page of the H.A.M.B. Message board with the 'holes to be drilled" for advice as to when and how. Good Luck!

Welcome to the hamb. Consider this, make your frame out of heavy gauge sheet stock instead of square tube. This way you can form all of the angles and bends in sheet and it can be taller and shorter where you want it. It will look a hell of a lot better than square stock as well. Form a nice box frame and put in your lightening holes and go to town. I have a chassis that was fabricated this way. I want to do a 30 or 31 frame and intend to build it this way.
