I'm about all thats left here! Grew up with oil and gasoline runnin' through my veins..was at the drags in the mid 60's pushin' Ruff-N-Reddy to the line and back to the pits(in Moms belly, then in the back seat of her Dart)I'm addament about keeping the AMERICAN dreams alive of old school Hotrods, Gas stations, and attitudes! Have dropped all the bullshit drama in my life this yr, and decided to get back to my roots...( found out its just like ridin' a bike LOL) got my '47... and have had more fun then one person should be allowed(legally) this summer!! Workin' on my Dad right now to get him to help me build another old school C/A Coupe type gasser.. hes 74, and is going back to Martin U.S. 131 Dragway Saturday, and drive "Thunderbolt" that is owned by a friend here.. First time back in a drag car in almost 40 yrs :) Lookin' forward to getting to know you out here!! ;)

Damn. Was just talking to my buddy about that car. It was yellow I believe. It was totally badass. Used to watch it run at Martin in the 60's. Had a 55 Pontiac that we ran. Welcome. That gasser brings back fond memories. What ever happened to the car? Please Please Please post some more pics.

The car was sold to another guy in 71 i think (name changed to Copperhead, then Dad started racing the 55 Momad w/ "Cashway Body and frame" in the door) and then sold again to a private individual, who made a streetrod out of it, and wrecked it  !!! Come up to Martin Saturday if you're close enough to the dragway... Dads meeting with a guy who has thousands of pics and has made a video of Drag racing of the sixties..(Dad's in the vid) he wants to meet Dad and share the history he has on file :) i have a photo album on my profile of Dads car too...and yes, it was yellow... and so are all the stock cars hes built ever since.

Welcome from the West Coast of Florida.

Always nice to see an old drag racer who is still racing.

I used to watch Tasca Ford Thunderbolt run many weekends back in the 60's and the memories still live in my mind.

Stay Well Jimbo
