Hello everyone..new here and fairly new to classics. Just aquired a 49 dodge wayfarer. have had my eyes on many classics over the years and finally made the jump.
eventually i would like to build and restore one but in the mean time figured i would like something that was running already.

Welcome aboard from Maryland. Who da thunk the 49 Wayfarer would become so popular? A friend of mine drove and raced his at the Jalopy Showdown drags this past weekend and thought for sure it would be the only one there. Then another one came in the next morning. Now here's yours. Needless to say, you are not alone in your choice of cars....
He's going the gasser route with his. How about you!

nice ride your friend has... as far as what direction ill go, i have no idea at the moment, just getting it running clean and fixing the small things. maybe eventually chop the top, but really not sure, i see so many i like that can be complete opposites.

Wow! A chop job? Now that would be a gutsy move and totally opposite from a gasser. Saw a wicked old V-Dub at the drags with 59 Caddy fins grafted in. How about chopped, dropped and finned?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...............
