COLE....That's him,alright....Sorry sack of shit who has been LYING to anyone who has ears for several years now....Thought he was gonna walk in and tell Ed Roth what to do! He came back around with his wife's money so that he could BUY a LICENSE from Ed to use Ed's trademarks....BOUGHT the connection...and like Jimmy See and the Groupie of Arts, Henley NEVER worked for Big Daddy A DAY IN HIS LIFE...Bought his own tickets to Japan to LIE to the JapFinks(tm) about how he was now their hero...he was now "Speedo Daddy"...Christ Almighty , how this delusional pile of bullshit on two legs continues to operate is beyond me....Oh wait,I remember now..Mooneyes can carry his pewter garbage cheap, so now he is "official"....I even had the priviledge of hearing how he made a speech to all of Santa Cruz on the wharf about how he knew Roth ALL HIS LIFE/They were best friends/he continues the Roth legacy, etc etc.....Today is COLE Day for the remainder of the day...My Monday hero.

Before anyone who doesn't know me gets all bent-wrist about my comments and lisps out something like " What's Johnnys' problem...why can't we get along?" or "Who cares?", understand this ...
My hatred for the "scene" has been there from day one..I earned my title....I didn't wake up one day and proclaim myself "official" this or that...ROTH gave it to me...not Airbrush Action, not Hot Rod Deluxe, not Barracuda magazine,not Copro Nason, not Juxtapoz.....
But my real hatred emerged after Ed passed and I went about trying to exist in an art market that was already filled with phonies and closed minds...trying to keep earning a living with the art I was born to do,and had been doing,half my life....This was never about money or fame for me ...It was about RESPECT...and I have a rare handful of friends who understand the truth...But back to the hatred...
Right around the time Ed passed, my wife developed severe and crippling pains in her abdomen...the worst went through our minds...after ruling out appendicitis, tubal pregnancy,cesaerean scar issues,and the like, the world started getting real fucking scary. Cancer? Ovarian or uterine cancer? Real life nightmare...I was determined to work 24/7 to pay the mounting medical bills that began eating us alive...No sleep, no money, no hope....I began looking any and everywhere to get exposure and increase customers....I was met with responses like:

"Yeah...we already have a guy who can copy Rat Fink style..."

"We already did a Rat Fink issue, with________________,they are his best friend and official artist....BUT maybe if you bought an AD...."

"No thanks,Johnny,we are trying to get coop for the cover...he's HOT right now...."

Or the big shot "kustom" artists who ignored my requests for joint art shows or even the time of day...
How about the woman in San Francisco who wouldn't let me be in her "LOWBROW" art exhibit because my art had been used with "slogans" and "text" (posters) before? Told me I wasn't LOWBROW enough...WTF!?
Keep in mind during this time my beloved wife was confined to bed, in constant pain,and swallowing pain killers while we tried to find out what her condition was...I sold evrything Ed ever gave me to pay for medical costs...friends with understanding found reasons to need art...these people are "real".
Things haven't changed that much for us,medically-speaking....the condition keeps us away from lots of business and related functions....Good friends offer support, our art ties us all together...
We get on the HAMB, we do a show now and then, we try to support our friends....
But my HATRED for the "SCENE" and the "SEWER SYSTEM" that feeds it is STRONG....
Before any of you label me as NEGATIVE or CRAZY or BITTER, put yourselves in my place......how would YOU feel about things?
I think I'll make COLE my weeklong hero for speaking important truths....Germ, you already KNOW how much I appreciate your words....

Can't make it. Came down with major vomit & shits on Thursday Night...lost a Triple Meat Wendy's burger, good god that was a lot of meat, and couldn't hold anything down. Flushed my system with water til thats all i was shitting and puking. I know, it's gross. Anyways, that my excuse for not coming...sucks too cause I just talked the gal into going with me and arranged stuff with my old crew in Houston.
