The '59 ElCamino is one of the most beautiful cars ever produced.

still at zero bids! Only 1 day left too. I think I'll put a rediculously low bid in...prolly be my luck I'd win the bid and hafta go get the sumbitches. NO storage space here.
Neither car has a title which is a huge obstacle to overcome in my state..

OH--MY---GOD! After the game today {nebraska squeaked one out against Colorado...sorry Ray] My game-watchin-buddy and fellow clubmember, Dar, and I checked out the computer. I wanted him to see these 59's for sale and see if I could con him into goin "halvsies"with me on them. Naturally, I wanted the el-camino, leaving him with the wagon....he loves wagons..
But, he declined. He did say if I won the auction, he'd be up for a road trip to Texas to fetch one of 'em home with his car-tote and truck......that was all I needed to SPRING into action. I dashed off an e-mail to the seller with a low-ball offer and he's gonna talk to his woman...sounds like I just may be the proud owner of a rusty, no-titled 59 Elcamino! I've lusted in my heart for one forever.....
I'll take a few days to strip the good shit offfa the wagon and load it in the back of said elcamino for the long tow back home. I have absolutely no idear how I'll score a title for it but I'll get it handled... I have a tidy little 406 sbc just waiting for a home.....now I gotta find a 4 speed and shifter.....
Hope it all works out! I'm pumped!

So?? When ya comin' to Tx, Rock? There's a possible donor car in Omaha that I wouldn't normally consider, but if there's an empty trailer headin' this way, hmmm...

Rocky

Fat.....still haven't gotten final confirmation on the deal. waiting for an e-mail. I'll get with my truck-guy regarding coming down loaded but be asvised....we aren't using a trailer, just a cheesy car-tote. Is your donor car tow-able?

An ol hillbilly (no really he was from west virginia and he called himself that) had a 59 elky... he swears that over 90 mph the ass end of the car would lift...

They are beautiful cars... on my list when I hit the lotto. I wanna do one with a 348 tripower!

Oh you suck! I too have lusted after a 59 ElCamino since I sold the one one I had when I was in the service in 1977. It had a 348 4 speed and no windshield.
Very early Rat Rod http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Rocky, Just make sure you at least get a bill of sale from the guy. getting a title migh not be as hard as you migh think.

Let me know if you get it and come down. You pass through FtWorth to get there. Coffe is always hot and the Beer is cold.

And if you can come this far for a project Austin is only a couple hours farther for the Roundup next year.
