I think Nori must have meant "pump" motor. For irrigation or something...

Cool finds.

What company made that Japanese coupe? Is it a company that still exists today?

I was just thinking it would be bad-ass to have that coupe with a Toyota "Hemi" in it and be an all Japanese Hot Rod that would closely resemble an old American Hot Rod...

"What company made that Japanese coupe? Is it a company that still exists today?"

Outfit called "Ford" or something like that useta have a plant in Yokohama. It's gone now. I heard that one of their branches is still making a few cars in Dearborn.
Nori, there is a VHS film available in this country showing Fords being assembled in Yokohama in 1931!
The pump engine is a 1937 or 1938 Ford 221 85HP. It would look good in a '32 truck...

That bike is fucking outragous! Copied it right down to the oil leaks!
Too cool.... I'd kill to have that thing.

Yup that's a 21 stud 85 horse motor, just like the one in my old coupe and Old Rusty.
So, Nori, is that stuff for sale? Have you bought any of it, or is it already in he hands of a rodder?
PS the axle shot you sent me looks like a 32-34 V8 axle. could be useful.
Mart.

Hi Nori, I have something similar in my garage. An 8BA and
an 8RT ,Both stationary engines used to drive a snow
blower. They only have something like 300 hours use on them.
In other words they,re almost new inside.

That Coupe looks WAY better than a LOTof stuff I see go by on Ebay!!!!! And that Japanese Harley is worth a bit as they did not make very many as I remember. Please tell me you bought the coupe/motor and now you have a new project http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nori, I believe thats more than a copy.In the 1930's Harley-Davidson shipped tooling to Japan to produce motorcycles.I think they were called Rikou. It looks to me you could swap part for part with its American version. Is that a sidecar for it in the background? You say this stuffs for sale?(I wonder how much UPS would charge to ship it to the east coast?) http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nori, The picture of the chassis is one of those rare 3rd generation Vettes that they built with the body mounted backwards. You can see the quarter panels in the picture. I hear they are looking for one to display at the Corvette museum. If you can hook them up they will probably give you a new Z06. I can pick it up for you and keep it here until you can come for it. haha!!!
