I've heard that early Ford spindles will fit on the 37/38 Plymouth tube axles. Anyone have experience with this?
I'd like to run this on a suicide front on my Model A coupe.
Thanks
Rick
interesting,
how about another one,
I heard Volvo rotors fit right on early mopar spindles,
any truth to that?

bitch
Yes, Ford spindles will fit with a bit of machine work. The kingpin bore is smaller and at a slightly different inclination than the ford. It is possible to rebore the kingpin hole to fit the ford specs.
You'll also have to grind a new index for the lock bolt as well.
I had a machinist friend do this for my T's suspension.

Thanks Ben. I've seen old pics of rods (mostly roadsters) and one of the local guys said that they fit right on and did it years ago.
Guess I'll pull it apart and see what I find out! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
