1935 Brewster Ford Convertible Coupe. During the 1930's depression, Brewster built a line of custom bodied cars based on a lengthened Ford V8 chassis. Most of the cars were limousines, town cars and 4 door convertible sedans. According to historians, they only built between 5 and 8 of these Convertible Coupes.

Brilliant work everyone - It's so great to have found a car forum with such a thriving interest in the art of cars.
BOMONSTER - love the scratchboard work - the two colours work well too
RUBEN - great pencil sketch - lots of character and plenty of detail
GARYC - brilliant concept - I think there ought to be one earlier step where you see the internals of the engine and the driver
HOTRD32 - that miniature is really well photographed - had to look twice to realise what was going on
JANNE - beautiful - reminds me of the classic advertising art from 50's - those artists used to get big bucks for work like that.
DANKYD - good to see more of your oils - proper art that is

My latest little forray into the "Snubnose" Pickup ... Restyled into the proportions of the cartoon Apache I recently did. One as the fendered street rod version and one as the fenderless "rat" version. Both sitting out in my new Alley scene... LOL

i posted this last night and I've gotten alot of great response--keep it coming

as a fan of the friday art show,I've decided to host a art show down here in south mississippi, yes south mississippi What I'm doing is setting up a display next month during www.cruisinthecoast.com all week at "the quarter"a bar in downtown gulfport,I met with the owner today and we'll have the run of the place all week. there should be between three to four thousand cars entered in the show and countless people checking things out. my whole intent is to expose some of the "normal"car guys,general public and local art scene "hot rod" inspired art I've sent pm's to several guys on here but if you're interested in having your art seen/bought by alot of people let me know

I finished painting a couple of these Creatures this week too. One's on ebay and the other is a birthday gift for my best friend and striper buddy Joey Delux. Ijust bought a kick-ass metal ad sign off ebay from the Creature from the Black Lagoon movie to display with it. I handpainted the clackboard on Joeys with "Kreature from the Kustom Lagoon". These things would look kol on your dashboard or top of the TV!

Hot damn, that gumball machine is bitchin!!! I have been fiddling with a Rat Fink themed machine for like 2 yrs., need to finish it. I just picked up another machine at an antique show too! I bought a ton of those plastic capsules off ebay, and I had a buddy resin cast a shitload of old-school rat finks off some of my originals. I want to fill it with them, but not sell them! It's art! Don't touch it! LOL! Here it is so far....

Ha! Bingo. That's the image the client brought to me for the pose/look he wanted...except it wasn't in tattoo form, it was a printout of the original image. Then I painted it in my own style that I've been using for years. That tattoo looks awesome!

Awesome FAS as usual,there are some very talented people here.

I guess if they had a beginners section this is where you would be seeing my contribution today. Ive loved traditional pinstriping,I tried it years ago and just couldnt handle the brush or the paint. This time I did a little research and got some better supplies and it went alittle better. The ammo box was the first thing Ive ever pinstriped and the bottle was the second. I guess I better go practice,practice,practice.
