Here in the GreatWhiteNorth, we would call that restorable with little rust. The Cawli-fornia boys don't know how lucky they have it.

You Californians would bitch if they hung you with a new rope... Sheesh, probably the only unchopped (Well sorta) merc left in the country. On level ground. Not even a tree growing up thru it. Still has sheetmetal below the beltline. Hell, I bet you could kick it with your foot and not go thru. Passenger front fender and hood to replace. Door can be straightened, same for the roof. Other side looks like it's probably OK from here. I'll bet major portions of the floor can be used. Even still has the engine. What are you waiting for? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Are you posers afraid of work or what?
Even Sam Barris did work from worse cars, he built his 50 Buick from a burned out crashed hulk worse much than that. Over 50 years ago!
Sailer: I agree, that one is good stuff!

Fat Hack

In Michigan we'd call that a "classic in very restorable condition...some rust, minor body damage."

I'm surprised it's not restored or ripped apart already... California has been pretty much cleaned up when it comes to old boneyards, but there seems to be a few hidden spots with some good stuff...

I lived in Montana for three years. I was building a house for a friend. Try driving a 32 five window in the snow. I hated it. I did meet lots of nice people up there and they still find good cars for me. I found this one on my last trip up there with big Paul.

**DONOTDELETE**

Its got 'PATINA' to it!..Either take the 'steel is real' theory or just buy a 'glass body'...They re-pop those too!

It looks like 'false advertising' to me!!

Not much different than the wife's 49. Has lots more parts than hers when we picked it up. It was spripped of everything you could remove with pliers and screwdrivers.......I'd save it!!........OLDBEET

my friend bought an mercury 1950 coupe from california among with alot of other cars, that car was pure junk, frame rusted, front end rusted to shit, quarter panels fucked, floors bad... was presented as a decent starter yeah right..... only guy wanted to buy it was a guy who was going to use it for parts....

that car in the pic is a far better start then that one was,,
