Randy is letting me use his garage. We seem to be pushing each other. This is the front end this morning, Tonight it is sitting on a suicide perch and is a full roller.

My shocks will get moutned to the shackle like Pete And Jakes late Ford set-up. This week I will have motor/trany mts as well as the MC mt done. Then it is back on sheetmetal.

I am using the later perch "pins" they dont have shock mts. The P&J shackles have an extra long stud on the outside for the lower eye of the shock. If you notice, there is something different about those shocks as well.

Tin, no prob, I should have taken a pic AFTER I got the perch done. But this way you have to think a little on your own http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Oh, and the pics dont do that coupe justice, we chopped it a hair under 4.5" Those fat tires are the DOT slicks he is running. This is Randys "mild" street car, 8-71 and all. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

The chassis should be done by this time next week. Then it is off to the blaster before bodywork on all those holes.

thats a neat solution! was a bit hard to see on my little monitor. Is the 'something different' mounting them upside down??
I like how it gets the shocks back behind the axle... might see if Ive got room to do that.

Randy is a really good friend. Like I said, he is letting me use his shop/tools. You guys will hopefully see his coupe at some HAMB event next summer. That car is 100% ownerbuilt and is better than many "pro" built cars. When I say owner built, even the Duece style frame rails started as raw tubing.
