hay everyone.my name is jason and wanted to say this board is sweet.ive been hanging around a chevy board for a while and its good but not many kustom guys.hopefully you guys and girls if there is any can help out when needed.i have a 51 chevy 2 dr sedan.i just ordered a trans adapter.im going to keep the 235.i really like the 6 and the way it sounds.on the chevy site i use to go to they said i have to change the motoe mounts if im going to do a open drive line.has anybody else done the same swap from close drive line to open drive line and kept the 6?if so let me know how it went and what im up for.

Welcome lilbud.This is a kewl place to find out stuff and share knowledge.If your asking what diff to use,I just did a 51 pontiac,same as a chevy here in Canada.I used a 81 camaro diff.I think the malibu,regal etc diffs fit good too.Got some pics of your ride........Shiny

I think 55-6-7 chev rear ends bolt in those cars without modifying anything. Pretty sure that is what a friend of mine used in his 52. Should be able to come up with one of those cheap.
