hey guys i have a 1964 IH pickup that i found a ford 302 motor for out of a thunderbird do you think this would work and be a smart motor to put in this truck. Someone has told me that Ford kinda took over the IH pickup line not sure what to think bc alot of other people are saying chevy did.

welcome from oklahoma. not sure about who took over what, but i do know navistar build on heck of an old binder with a new 6.4 twin turbo to promote the new engine in the ford superduty. i think a 302 would be a fine choice. have you searched for hi-perf international engines? some guys make alot of power out of the old 345's and such.

Welcome from AZ, IH has always been a bit of a mutt breed. I have owned a couple of them, i think as long as you do the truck some justice your pretty free to do what you please. Besides, it's your truck, do what makes you feel good.
